I came up with the term “soft power” to give a name to what I wanted to embody. The scenes I photograph, whether of a city or a vast mountainous landscape, convey that same term. I’m very thoughtful and contemplative with my compositions because I consider them such an extension of myself and this soft power that I have come into through personal growth. All of my photographs reflect this quiet nature that I feel inside, especially when I’m out making the images, while still representing what I think is an equally strong and powerful scene.
